Anyone seen sceptre? The caretaker from the league building who went missing was lurking around here. Im not sure, but Im pretty positive its all tied in with the fire

You silly do-gooders are taking so long solving this mystery I think I'm gonna have to help you, just out of pure boredom and to shake things up a bit. Now I started the fire, but I didn't do it in the building that had people in it, it was carried somehow and surely this caretaker person sounds like he may have been the one to do it. Quipper, can
you not use your telepathy to listen out for him or are your skills not that advanced yet?

Yeah I can read the thoughts of people around me - but its not so much thoughts as it is images. Thing is though - the caretaker's mind was blank to me. Almost like he didnt have his own thoughts....interesting....

No. What you're remembering is a book you read sometime ago, which had a character who did illusions. Gandark - when I read you, I see nothing. Parts of memory and thoughts have been wiped. In the same way as the caretaker's was.
