[Gandark] but my Ice spell is so much more powerful than crappy "Flood" spells - those would only make the place look like New Orleans instead of like the North Pole ... oh well

*unrolls carpet and flies it to roof*

*coughs* inconsiderate Pink Thing. Well, I'm going to grab a few of these citizens and escort them to safety.

*Inside, C.L has finished evacuating the civillians. She prepares to turn back the way that she came when a sudden flashover blocks her escape route*

typical... HEY TELEPATHIC GUY! THE BUILDING'S CLEAR! I'M GOING OUT THE WINDOW, WARN THE OTHERS THAT THE AIR FROM OUTSIDE COULD CAUSE A BACKDRAFT THAT'LL WRITE THIS FLOOR OFF. sure hope they got that...

*She runs for the window and dives through, The sudden change of air pressure causes the fire to bellow out the window after her but luckily it does no real damage*

*zooms over*

*watches as fire dies down*

*opens mouth and drinks rain*

*opens brolly*

I've been waiting to test this thing for AGES.

*escorts the people across to the othe rooftop across the makeshift bridge, formerly a fire escape.*

put your foot there... that's it, ok. anyone else over there?

*a shout comes from the door and a small child runs out crying*

*calls over*hold on! i'm coming over to help!

(to the others)ok, you lot go down the fire escape on the other side of the building. i've got to get back over.

*spectre traverses the bridge, but just as he reaches the other side it collapses and falls into the alleyway below.*

drat! (to child) ok, don't worry, i'm here to help you. hold onto me and i'll get us down.

*as the child holds onto spectre and he aims his grapple gun at the opposite rooftop the floor beging to shake*

lets go!

*as he fires the gun and is about to swing across a burst of flame issues up from below. Spectre manages to shield the child from it but gets horribly burnt in the swing. on the other rooftop he hands the child to her mother and staggers to the edge of the roof to sit down.*

*holds hi sbrolly over Spectre*

Nice move. Can I get you something for your third degree burns?

Was it Prof. Chaos who set the fire? That's low, even for him

[Gandark] odd ... my Ice spell should be guaranteed to instantly put out any fire. It's the opposing element for crying out loud ... ah well.
[Gandark] maybe it was set by a villian with special fire-setting powers ... anybody know of anyone like that?

*has quietly passes out and is lying of the edge of the rooftop breathing shallowly.*

Crimson, can you lend some healing arts to Spectre? He's looking a little, well...crispy.
