Today's weather statistics from downtown Austin (at 11.35pm)
Minimum temperature: 57°F/13.9ºC, am
Normal minimum: 48ºF/8.9ºC
Record minimum: 25ºF/-3.9ºC,
Maximum temperature: 66°F/18.9ºC, pm
Normal maximum: 70ºF/21.1ºC
Record maximum: 91ºF/32.8ºC,
Current temperature: 59ºF/15ºC
Barometer: 30.19" (1022.4mb), steady
Humidity: 99%
Dew point: 59ºF/15ºC
Wind: 1mph, ESE
Highest gust today: 13mph
Precipitation since midnight (at Camp Mabry): 0.02"
Yearly total to date (at Camp Mabry): 5.42" (1.19" ahead of average)
That rainfall total for today is a bit misleading It's been drizzling since early afternoon - downtown has recorded 0.1" and there's been 0.15" at the airport, so why Camp Mabry (which is only about a mile from the downtown station) should have only managed two hundredths of an inch is rather puzzling
More rain forecast for tomorrow.

Yup; I'm in Australia now, Paul
Weather's pretty boring here Sunshine yesterday, today and tomorrow. I'm in Charters Towers, a town about 140km inland from Townsville, which is in tropical Queensland. It's not too humid, for which I am grateful, but it is incredibly hot. We cooled off yesterday swimming in the creek at the bottom of my hosts' property. Heaven
Out in the Coral Sea there's a Tropical Cyclone, category 3, called Ingrid It's 400kms offshore at the moment, but we're kind of hoping it'll head towards the coast a bit and bring some much-needed rain inland.

Dang, I missed Fb while I was at work Which is also why I can't do Sunday's figures. However, I can tell you (having walked home in it) that the weather in Austin right now is what in Ireland is called 'soft' weather, and in Scotland is called 'dreich'. It's misty, there's a very fine drizzle, and it's humid - 100%. Currently 62/16.7º

What a difference a (week)day makes! After yet another a damp, cold, grey, miserable weekend, the sun came out once more on Monday and we got into the low 80s F/high 20s C And notice that barometer again - lower than it was yesterday, but still rising

I was out of town a couple days, during which time there was apparently still weather in Lancaster.
However, I got back home, and yesterday the temperature shot up to the 50's. I don't have an exact figure for you, but I think it might have been pushing 60. Too hot for me this time of year, that's for sure.
This morning when I woke up, the temperature was in the upper 40's, but has been dropping since early this morning and is now down to 30F.
It's bee precipitating the whole time too, so what started out as rain has now switched over to snow.

Still hot here, although not so sunny today. High cloud. No rain. 30C or so.
This is the cyclone map: http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ65002.shtml Just check out the size of that system
I'm happy that Cooktown looks as though it's out of the line of fire now, although the storm tide could well flood the town

The temperature has continued to drop here, we're down to 17F now.
It's been rather windy too. Right now, it's only 12mph, which means our wind chill is only 12F. I don't know how bad it was last night when it was gusting to 35mph!

It is blowing up to 230kph in Far North Queensland right now I'm happy to report that it missed Cooktown and hit the coast some 250kms further north. It ain't over though... looks like it'll cross Cape York and then build up again in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Then who knows where it'll head off to next?
Lovely weather here. Sunny. 32C. Breezy. No rain, which is upsetting the locals, who want water badly.
You missed me again Gosho

Well, we were a little below, and considerably above our normals for today. Lots of warm sunshine this afternoon but a little bit chilly when I woke up this morning. There'll be a slight cooiling tomorrow as a weak cold front pushes through, but it looks like it'll be into the 80s again on Saturday No rain in the forecast until next Tuesday.
Thunderstorm season is just around the corner

6:47 am, Lancaster - and we've already had a short burst of snow from the Alberta Clipper that's coming through today. The snow stuck too. There's more on the way, I expect to have snow off and on all day, but they're calling for less than an inch of accumulation in all.

We may get 4 to 8 inches of snow.
My seeds are aching to sprout, and I have to tell them it's gonna be another 2 months at least till the ground is warm enough for them.
Just try talking to children, though.

Very windy today. Earlier on I set the smoke alarm off while I was making breakfast (burnt the fried bread ), and I had to open the window at one end of the apartment and the balcony door at the other. I had to close one of them pretty soon after because the blinds were being blown about so much
It's going to be warm again though - already 81/27 at 1.30pm. Not a cloud in the sky. Apparently it got down to 36/2 at the airport last night, but 52/11 at Camp Mabry and 53/12 downtown, both of which are only about six or seven miles from ABIA Just goes to show how strong the 'heat island' effect of a city can be
And guess what - the barometer is currently falling *faints* ::THUD::

We had a very strange day on Sunday, at least as far as temperatures are concerned. By about 11.30am it had already reached 87º/30.6º, but then a cold front came through, and four hours later the temperature had dropped by 20ºF, and it got down to 48/8.9 last night.
It's going to be much colder this week than last, and there's going to be plenty of rain too... so they say
But apparently the weather always turns a bit grim during South by Southwest

This time two days ago (Sunday, 9.45am) we were already into the low 80s F/upper 20s C. Today we're a full 30ºF lower than that and it's not going to get much warmer the rest of today. There's a 70% chance of rain in the forecast... but no a blip on the doppler radar Won't stop me taking me brolly to work though

Not sure if I'll be home from work in time to do the stats tonight, but just in case I'm not, the temperature in central Austin got down to 39/3.9 last night, and almost freezing in outlying areas! It's been in the upper 60s/mid teens this afternoon with a clear blue sky
