your coffee cup had a very slight stain, like a water spot, on the bottom of it this morning. you didn't notice and wouldn't have done anything about it if you had. that was your undoing. that slight stain is the reason you are dying. it was poison and i put it there. i snuck into your office last night, or was it last week? no matter. the killer waited patiently for you to come to it, to add something, anything, and wash it all down. i had considered adding it to the water cooler, but then someone else would have died and sparked an investigation, or worse, tipped you off. no, you had to die and there was no guarentee that you would be first to the spigot. the posion had to wait where you, ironically, would guard it from others. that damn cup you would never let anyone else use. well i hope you enjoyed it you twisted little person.

tomorrow morning you will arrive at work. you arrive at the same time you came in today, the same time you always arrive. you will park where you always park (you laughingly refer to that spot as yours and fail to notice that no one else is laughing). you hardly notice the van. if you were less self-absorbed you would turn your head as you parked. you would notice the person sitting behind the wheel if you didn't think the world revolves around you. the funny thing is that she has been waiting for you. you get your crap out off of the passenger seat and climb out of the car. you stand next to the door for a split second. something behind you moves, but you don't see it and wouldn't know how to react if you did. i've raised my gun. the silencer adds a bit of weight, was not cheap, but it's well worth it. of course i wear gloves. i wore them when i picked up the gun and loaded it. nothing would be more embarrassing then a thumbprint on a spent shell casing. in this case the shell falls onto the passenger seat next to me. the lead enters the back of your head. you fall in a heap. i pull out of the parking lot with a smile.
