Why am I Socket? Because I've been Socket on a few other sites for a few months and I like it. Also, to be frank, Roymondo was a bit of a rubbish name.

I was trying to keep the 'Socket' persona separated from the 'Roymondo' persona, but as both are me it was becoming increasingly stupid to maintain the two. I is what I is, there's no pretence.

So hereforth 'Roymondo' is 'Socket'.

I've always regretted Roymondo. It is a poo name. In the mid nineties I wrote a few electronica instrumental things and, by virtue of the thing I glanced upon while naming one of the the tunes, one of them ended up being called Socket.

I've always disliked Roymondo. It's a rubbish name. I have become quite attached to Socket as a name for it is my name on many other sites (one of which is close to usurping h2g2 unless h2g2 sorts out a new skin and a bunch of new features.

Sock it to me, baby!

I changed names a couple of years ago. It can be done.

Just think, when you're rich n famous you can releae a whole pile of merchandise - Socket-in-my-pocket, say, or the Socket'n'lock it key ring.

Is this thread just a plug for socket?

I'm seriously considering jumping on the namechange bandwagon to keep up with the cool kids. There's only here where I'm still known as Croz, and to be honest it's just sentimental reasons as to why I'm holding onto it.
