Maybe my waistline would be improved if I ate some Cherry Pie?

Not necessarily, Lanzababy, though it won't hurt if you eat a small piece and cut back on something else you might have eaten. Calories count. I often fail to figure out how many calories are in something.

I think we've moved past the "c" word, Taff. Memories are short nowadays. Within 18 hours, it will all be forgotten...

I had no idea that you might have liked Sade, Pierce, but she is one of the greats as far as I am concerned.

re 604:
don't be sorry, taff!
i found a shop yesterday that actually had fresh cherries (well, fresh'ish anyway)
i bought a kilo and a half approximately and ate half yesterday and today my gout is - almost - gone
now, these attacks come and go and i am on traditional medicine also, so i should have been more or less okay at this stage anyway, but: my legs are better than they have been for many weeks, so i will experiment some more with cherries (just finished the rest of them)
so again: thank you - and thank your mother

My mum often buys frozen ones, to make into desserts. They are a reasonable price, I wonder if they are almost as good as fresh?
We need a to do some research. I could help with the eating part of the experiment!
Paul could be the chef.

Frozen cherries should be as good as fresh, provided that they were fresh when frozen.

Come to think of it, they may have been pre-cooked, as I don't think they had stones in them. I'll have to check when I return to the UK.

Not having stones means that they were pitted.
