I think it might be taking so long because of the fact that it's the weekend. Maybe no one's there right now

Nothing get's done on a Sunday...never...
umm.more cheesy biscuits whilst people attempt to forget all their worries......or is that happening down at the holodeck?
CHEESY BISCUITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Tonks Posted Sep 10, 2000
Hmmm...yes...ought to start a thread about the holodeck...
Oh, BTW people (and I am allowed to advertise on my own 'station ) The Big C Domain has been updated, and given a chat room!

What does the bit at the right which says "View Message Box Default" mean? It isn't a link...

(I'm running IE5.0 as supplied by default with Win2000 Professional, if that helps the debugging...)

Hmm..thinking about the spirit of the staff of h2g2, probably on lunch break, that's my excuse for not working on my batch right now

Engels42 (Thingite Minister of Leaky Ethics and Spiffyness) Posted Sep 11, 2000
yeah, I'm trying to cut back
I think that little view message box default thing is for the message. If you run your mouse cursor over it the message shows up
CHEESY BISCUITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Tonks Posted Sep 11, 2000
Peet, the bit at the bottom, infact all of the buttons, can be oved over with the mouse. Each time it's moved over a button, it glows and shows a different message.
If you want to see the message at the start, when you enter the page that is, ove you mouse over that bit of text: it'll change it back...
I must warn people at this point that Netscape does terrible things to my layers, so please avoid using that on my page...you can still see it, but the text overlaps itself!

*offers Mew more cheesy biscuits to compensate for an evil browser*
You could always get IE or Opera, Mew...whichever you'd prefer, for free...
CHEESY BISCUITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris Tonks Posted Sep 12, 2000
Can you use IE on a Mac? Well, I'm assuming Mew has a Mac, because surely no one would choose Netscape on purpose....

Some ISPs install it by default with their connection software...
Mew, try Netscape 6 PR2 - it's not too big a download (45 minutes or so) and it's a *lot* more standards-compliant than NS4.x

I use both Netscape and IE so that I can go on the H2G2 as Mew and the family of Mewtwo simultaneously.
Mew!

Ah..then you and I are two of the few people who can have both up at the same time!
Next time you see my site, use IE then...
