It happened at last I just drove home from friends in a blizzard. 4 inches of snow, but now it's sleeting
Still, a good end to 2003...

Thanks, but Boston got clobbered with 20 to 40 inches of snow the first weekend in December. It was a near-record snowfall for late Fall.

I've said it before, so I'll say it again. In the 7½ years that I have lived down here, it has snowed such as you'd notice precisely once. And yes, the traffic was in total chaos that morning

The traffic has been in near- or total-chaos just about every day this month in my area, GreyDesk. It didn't matter whether there was snow on the ground or not.
What I didn't like was that this often made me late for work, and my boss was not happy.

The sky suddenly got very dark and I hoped for snow. However, now the sun is peaking out from the west. So I don't know.... Sigh....

Quite chilly with a clear sky again in San Antonio this AM, but the clouds have rolled in and we're back in Austin. I'm not sure what it is right now but with that cloud cover it shouldn't be quite so cold tonight.
I just checked the weather page for News 8 Austin and it says 63ºF
I just went outstide to make sure their thermometer wasn't playing tricks, and it feels like it could well be upper 50s/low 60s. Well whaddya know

Currently 1C, here in Canada's capital. Cloudy, but not a chance of a flake until (so the Weather Network says) Monday.
Pooo!
Happy New Year!

I haven't seen the weather forecast for a few days, but it must be very humid - the front door keeps getting stuck I usually feel it when the humidity level is high but I can't say I've noticed it too much. The temperature has been pretty even during that time too - I don't think it's gone below 55º or above 68º since Tuesday. At 7.45am on Saturday morning, it's 67º. I can hear a/c units switching on and off all over the apartment complex. On January 3rd

Like I said: and weather.
It makes me almost glad to be in damp, driech, miserable Scotland. At least I know what clothes to put on in the morning.

On this occasion, so do I. But there are many days during the south central Texas winter when it can be near to freezing upon leaving the house in the morning, but shirtsleeves weather when catching the bus home at 5pm. The average high for this time of the year is around 60º (15ºC), average low around 40 (4ºC).
