There have been lawsuits over the release of sales records in some bookstores also. Those can go either way. The tattered cover in Denver (huge bookstore)has gone to court twice that I know of in order to keep their lists private.

The librarians in this state delete their list daily.

I didn't say the FBI were conducting massive library surveillence I was just saying I thought they did get the right to do so under the latest Weimar Ac.....I mean PATRIOT act. Even if they aren't doing it now, though from the looks of the links they might be, what makes you think they won't in the future. I wouldn't want to be on their list of people who had checked out books on bridge structuring, Islam, and contagious diseases - nevermind specific titles like the Anarchist Cookbook or the Turner Diaries.
