After having several of my posts picked apart point by point, I'm not eager to post as often.

Would that it were that they did, indeed, as it were, there unto that which was posted, pick, apart fully in its dissection, the inextricable essence of the untruths and truths, hidden therein. or not. of course I've been switching on the computer less, of late, so just haven't been online much full stop, cept for a bit of FB and twitter via the Ipad and phone Not sure why... Just getting boared of the internets I think, they've lost their ... something, maybe... or not, of coursebut a few times recently I've come on to here, looked at recent conversations, and seen so little activity there didn't seem much point in digging deeper to find something to reply too or comment on

Yes there is limited space available but it is better to open a site as you can view and discuss at the same time.

Thanks for the reply. To be fair I think I probably used up too much space before and sorry if I wasted your time. I'll try to write something about Mental Health issues and be done with it.

Nice to think that we do have old researchers coming back. Seems like we have lost so many across the years..and so few new ones..

My problem is with the technology. I can see what I'm doing better with Facebook and Twitter. I don't know that I will ever have a website but will try this out again in the library some time later on in the week. That may be better.

I've never used facebook or twitter - if, by chance, I have followed a link to either I have found it totally confusing and closed the window immediately. I joined h2g2 in 2000 and from the get-go had no problem navigating. I still use Goo, but if on another device I have to use pliny, it's OK but there are several functions I still haven't found in pliny that are quite clear in goo.

In other words, I can't see that any improvement has been made in later times; in fact, most websites that have been set up since h2g2 started, have not been an improvement at all. And pictures just get in the way of the text.



I am assuming you do know what the 31.3p per 100 sht means. In case you really don't, it's just a standardised pricing system so you can compare it to other loo rolls which come in different pack sizes. Each of the loo roll packs in the same department will have the same standard price shown next to the price per pack, so that, instead of having to work out how much each make of loo roll is, pro rata, they do it for you.

However, I have seen this sort of thing with other products where they give a price per 100g, say. And next to it they give the price per kg. So you have to calculate to compare anyway.


Oh. And sht is short for sheet. I don't know what you thought....
