I'm not sure how the technology makes a difference to your eyes. Unless the flashing adverts bother you.

With Pliny (black on white with blues and greys in the design), Alabaster (Black on white with orange and blue decorations), Brunel (black on white with green and black decoration) and Goo (white on blue with snot in the corner) skins, there is something for every eyesight preference.

I'm still on alabaster.
I suppose it depends what you want to do, but I find Facebook tedious to scroll through posts to pick out the ones I want. Twitter is slightly better (cos the posts are shorter!) but seems to keep repeating stuff - maybe I've got the wrong settings or something.

Boofcake is infuriatingly annoying. It keeps changing in small, inane ways seemingly for the sole purpose to frustrate users. I use to see shortcuts to my most used "friend lists" on the left side bar. Gone. I gotta go through a page of all my friend lists now. Or, you're reading through your "Feed", you see an interesting post coming up, but before you click on it, a notification gets your attention so you click on that. Then when you're done with whatever it was that got your attention, you page back to read the interesting post you noticed earlier, but when you return to your feed, the only links you recognize are ones you've already read. You're "place" in the feed is gone and you're back at the top of a whole new list of posts, with some that are 4 days old thrown in for no discernible reason whatsoever. But you get microdoses of dopamine that keeps you coming back.

Remember, if you're not paying for the service, you're not the customer, you're their product.

You can save posts on Facebook or join a group. Stick with one or two subjects. Make new friends. I don't know who you really are, Teaswill, but I know you've been using hoodoo for a long long time. You could be one of those Tetlet tea folk for all I know

Twitter is for ppl who want to advertise things.

The world dose not need another twiter, but a tweak of the conversation forums might help.

Of course if you are following people you know one twitter you can pass on information.
Schools use twitter and Facebook these days.

I'm have trouble with my journal

I am on Facebook but deliberately have no friends - don't like the lack of control over what's on there. I only joined to be in a specific closed group.

Twitter is for all sorts of info - depends who you follow or what hashtags you use.

What sort of trouble are you having with your journal?
