Anyone for NaJoPoMo?
Sol Started conversation Oct 10, 2012
OK, so remember last year when everybody's conversation lists were super busy for the entirety of November? Remember why?
Here I am, on behalf of Create, inviting you all to participate in the h2g2 Nation's Journal Posting Month (NaJoPoMo), our tribute to National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo.
There is more information and a sign up thread here, plus an opportunity to make suggestions about organisation whether or not you fancy taking part.

Mol - on the new tablet Posted Oct 10, 2012
Trouble is, once I get going (as I discovered while blogging during my European adventure), I find it hard to shut up. And I really don't have two hours every night (I know! Two hours! I wrote *thousands* of words).
Blatant self-publicity:

But don't try and read it all in one sitting ...

I'd like to write a novel in November. I tried to do it last ovember, but found myself in the hospital with no means of doing it. I'm much healthier this time around, but can't say the same for my computer, which is being fixed at the moment. One it's in good shape nagain, I won't have to use this library computer with the swkward keypadthat lendsnitsef to s many typos.

Yay, 2legs! Looking forward to it.
And go, paulh! I believe Happy Nerd may have opened the h2g2 lounge on the NaNoWriMo site, so do drop in and say hi if your computer does allow you to take part.
Oh, go on, Mol. Or, or rather, and, how about sharing your adventures with us in your journal in installments over November?

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Oct 11, 2012
I am wondering if I should theme them this time... or at least attempt too... I don't have high hopes of completeing it, as I'll probably be visiting at least two differnt lands which exist outside modern technology and the internet, at some point in November... but I can try I wonder what I could theme it on

I've got a theme. I was thinking of letting my daughter guest post and do 'A toddler's Guide to London...' It's an entry I want to write and this way I might get the backbone of that broken.
Alternatively, I was thinking about blowing the dust off my Flikr account and posting a photo a day.

But surely she's under 16 ?!?!?
I may do it again. Will let you know.
After last year, I thought I would continue it and write an e-mail to my mother every day with just a little news and maybe a photo. I didn't. I wish I wasn't such a procrastinator!

I'm undecided at the moment. Might depend on how it's going to work. Also on whether I have the energy to give NaNoWriMo another go.
Both NaNoWriMo 2010 and NaJoPoMo 2011 gave me huge satisfaction.

I think I might do a diary style, from the first person, from the perspective of what my feet have been doing. That seems suitably insane and non-food related for a change

I'm trying to finish my AnnoNo (write a novel in a year) - but Nanowrimo will hopefully keep me focused!

I enjoyed it last year so I may give it another shot. Not sure I can be quite as interesting as last year though.

I can't remember what I posted about last time round...
I'll never manage to do it this year, but will start it, as I'm away for a fair few days over November, to lands which do not have the internets

I'll think about running a NaQuiPoMo again, but I'll put them on separate journal entries, otherwise it would get confusing.
I'll also need to think up some quizzes

Ooooh. I know what way I'm going to do it now. A different theme for each day of the week. I've got four of the seven already.

Maybe. I really need to clear the dust out of my journal anyway Don't know about setting up a theme, though.
