Here's the FB page for the exhibition. It says it's only going to 5 major cities round the world, but I'm not sure how much of that is hype.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it hard to recognise Emilia Clarke when she's not being Dany? There's pictures of her from the BAFTAs last night and she's a brunette: took me a while to work out who she was.

Nope, not just you - that's good though. I get the actresses who play Ygritte and Sansa a bit confused on the interview circuits too - although that might be me just not paying attention.

Fair to say this series has really hit it's stride this year. It was already my favourite show on TV (by a nose from Breaking Bad) but it has just gone up a gear this year.

They seem loads better at playing the multiple storylines and everything seems more assured. They seem to have found a sweet spot of pairing almost rhyming storylines in each episode which means you don't miss stuff quite so much.

Anyhow another spiffingly good episode. Moved things along nicely and I am guessing we get some sort of battle at castle black/Yunkai oduble header for the finale.

It has been a bit Messi like this season, so consistently brilliant that I am just finding the brilliance normal now.

There were some spiffing scene transitions in this episode: carrying over audio from one scene into another, similar sounds, etc.
Oh, and everything else is awesome too.

I'm a bit intrigued about parallel timelines.
As far as I can tell, Dany's storyline is no longer all that far back from where
It's got to in the books.

OK there is a *bit* to go but not huge amounts. On the other hand, there is miles to go with the iron born, who, aside from Theon, seem to have been entirely forgotten about. smiley - erm

Yeah, the stories were much more tightly linked than they normally are. My particular favourite was Joffrey and Tywin discussing Dany, and Tywin writing Dany off as a curiosity, then we went to Yunkai and saw Dany in full on warlord mode. The CGI with the dragons remains consistently awesome.

Tywin intimidating Joffrey was so cool and another scene where they showed so much with barely a word spoken.

I liked though how Joffrey was kinda right. Managing to get a degree of shades of grey even into the biggest villain of the series so far.

Also, and I don't know if I was reading too much into this, but did anyone else think Marjorie kinda made a little bit of a pass at Sansa last night?

I didn't spot it, but the folks on the AV Club did. Given this episode was written by GRRM, it's seen as a very important development.

No, I don't think so, she was laughing at her naivete if anything.

I wouldn't put anything past Margaery. Actually, that's a lie. I'd put anything she liked past her. smiley - drool I didn't interpret that line as a pass, though. If anything, I interpreted it more as a speculative dig/accusation. Wide of the mark in Sansa's case, but as I say, only speculative.

I went back and rewatched it.

I'm sure that it was at the very least a "polite enquiry" if not a full on pass.

Well... That was good again. How messed up was that wedding? The scene with Ollena discussing the family implications was great.

I think the stuff between Tyrion and Sansa was brilliantly done. Some real subtle stuff. I had often thought the girl who plays Sansa was one of the less talented of the youngsters in it but that was a pretty masterful show of subtle performance I thought.

And now no book spoilers from people potentially actually in the know but does anyone not in the know wonder if the surviving leader of the mercenaries might be Jaquen from the last series?

I think Sophie Turner is a great actress, let down somewhat by a character. Sansa just doesn't have the big, meaty scenes that some of the other characters do, but when given stuff to work with Turner knocks it out the park. Take her first scene with Margaery and the Queen of Thorns for example, I love how subtly she cracks and breaks down. Her fear is almost palpable.

She does some great work in S1 too (rewatched it this weekend with a friend). She's under-rated but then I don't think there's a bad actor in the series.
