There's also the phrase "just for the lols", in which it is usually pronounced "lulls".

Actually, the thing pronounced luls is spelled "lulz".

Gr8! looks like the emoticon for someone I've beaten up for saying "Gr8!"

*squints* Is that a euphemism for 'kicked them somewhere delicate', Icy?

Another whole class of things I've just remembered. Being lazy, I don't like using lots of syllabubbles when less* will do.
- Utilise. I say Use. (This one is the nearest I come to a beef. I change it in reports and tell people that it has four letters too many.)
- Unbeknownst -> Unknown
- On a daily basis; on a part time basis -> daily; part time
- In terms of...I'm not really sure what this means or what I say instead.
Actually, 'fewer' in my idiolect. I changed it just to annoy.

I agree with practically everything said so far and am trying hard to think of some of my own. Living in the diaspora makes it difficult to find examples, though.

'tasty' as in 'I reckon this is going to be a tasty race'. Much used by Jake Humphreys of F1 reporting fame, although he is infecting the other presenters with it.
It just sounds so... sleazy.

Just seen another one elsewhere: 'The pond' for the Atlantic.

I like to throw in a bit of French ocassionally to be jokey...like 'mais oui' or 'c'est possible'
Or a bit of Russian...'Nichevo'
I'm hopeless at learning foreign languages but I like the sound. Something I'd do with friends though...they get at it...
