Who understands men?
You can call me TC Posted Oct 19, 2000
I'm just observing here. I don't feel qualified to answer. But this is a bookmark, so that I can learn too.

Hmm, on the topic of men/women, can anybody tell me why women are such backstabbing bitches? Seriously, how can they claim to have friends when they say (imaginable)bad things about them as soon as they leave the room. And I´m not talking about it having happened to me.

Save your hair what's to understand ... and why the frustration at not understanding.
Men's brains are not tiny, mind you, just most of the average male's grey matter is consantly occupied with tyring to understand one of two things: women or men.

Might I suggest you venture over to 'Understanding the opposite sex'. Define your terms. Men are people too, much as they try to disguise the fact. (Except if they are aliens, or fish..or angels, or girls - as in Ben - or.... eroneous philosophers) Have you checked? Are the correct appendages in their proper places?

I don't know whether I am in a unique position as I don't understand the actions of either sex.

You're on the right track, Tiger. You don't actually have to understand them at all. They generally obey instructions. 'Take the rubbish out', 'Wash behind your ears', 'Hoover the Living Room', 'Take me to the pictures', 'Go and buy the papers, and while you're at it...' etc.
On the downside, they do get a bit loud and smelly sometimes, but then who doesn't. Oh, and you occasionally have to pretend to get involved in all that sex stuff.
Generally, however, they are fairly low maintenance creatures.

Well exactly! Mine is very well trained... well apart from when he staggers into bed in the wee hours of the morning stinking of stale beer and fags - other than that I think I caught a good 'un!

TL: You said :"I don't judge according to your sex organs but love 'em or hate 'em they're great for taking out the rubbish!"...
Erm...right...

May I suggest a change of name? Might avoid the slimier customers.

Rainbow Posted Oct 20, 2000
The name is supposed to put EVERYONE off. Someone did suggest I change it before, but no-one came up with a good alternative, and then they told me to stay as Slug.

Hi Slug
Can I be really prying and ask do you think you're a nice person?
Do you like *you*? (I know it sounds hippie).
It's just that until I was happy with me (took years of constant work, still a daily task) I didn't attract the right kind of people.
Just a thought.

Yes, I am completely happy with 'Me', there is nothing about myself I would choose to change (except for my choice of men). I have an enormous amount of friends, all of whom tell me the reason men treat me so badly is because I'm too nice to them. I just find it really sad that if you're nice to people, they expoit it and treat you badly.
