Seen any good ones today?
Just seen the one, so far. Apparently Portugal are to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to Spain to help clear their national debt (from the Independent).

Saw one from a torrent site that said they were eradicating malware from their site by making it incompatible with suspect browsers. These would be put on a browser blacklist and nobody could download anything if they were using them. The browsers on the list were IE, Firefox and Netscape. Loads of people were falling for it judging by the replies.

There's this, from the Woodland Trust. http://www.naturedetectives.org.uk/sniff
And an article claiming we'll soon be paying cat tax to help pay "senior public sector managers' salaries and pensions".

"Bernie Ecclestone to recruit Simon Cowell & Simon Fuller to improve the spectacle..."
To be honest, I can't be sure that's not true.

Anyone hear the possible on on todays Today this morning just prior to the 'Platitude of the Day' slot?
It was a piece about musicians re-mastering their albums to be played in '3D' sound...i.e. surround sound. Mike Oldfield has done it with Tubular bells.
They then mentioned binaural recording where a special microphonesare set up allows a mimicking of how the human ears hear the sound. You then listen to the recording through headphones.
Here is an example:
http://www.giltrap.co.uk/index.php?page=cds&category=02--CDs&display=309#offset17
Now so far so factual however even people thought this was the April Fool bit...why people didn;t check on the interent before posting on twitter etc I do not know.
If it was in any way an Aril Fool it was them playing binaural recordings and telling people to put their hand in frot of their face to cut the hissing out.
I have no idea as I don't know that much about what a binaural recording sounds like...since I knew about Binaural recordings I assumed it was interference patterns of the two channels?
Hence, if it was an April Fool it wasn't a good one as it was too factual in it's set-up.

There were plans announced today to put a toll on a stretch of the M6 near Preston. There has been a certain amount of scepticism about this.

Dual time zone along the border as the Republic ditches "British" Summer Time.
