What's the speed of beards?

THESE guys understand the importance of beards BTW, isn't the middle one actually CALLED Beard?

And in response to the original question KB, I reckon on about 1/4 inch per week. To maintain the 80's stubble, I need to trim severely about once per week by which time it is all getting a bit uncomfortable. So about a foot per year.
Nose hair? Now that IS fast. And your eyebrows KB? You are under 50 aren't you?

Xanatic, if hair length was governed by wear and tear, then the hair on your neck would be nearly as long as the hair on your head. Instead, it is quite short and the hair on your head is very long. It's controlled by the follicles which produce the hair. Either they grow the hair for longer before they release it, or they grow faster, or both.

I'm disappointed that Britney Spears doesn't appear to have a pierced belly button.
Why?
Because I was going to provide a link to a photo of whatever was in it and change the subject line to "What's the bead of Spears?"
Sorry.

I apologise whole-heartedly for the unpleasant nature of that last link.

Right. It's been as near four weeks as to make no never mind and I would describe what I've got on my face as a neatly trimmed full beard. I figure it's at about half an inch, which matches nicely my two week estimate.

The weird thing in my case is that my moustache seems to grow so much faster than my beard. I can leave my beard to do its own thing, but I have to snip the tache regularly lest I turn into Lord Kitchener.

as I think I mentioned earlier, my head hair seems to grow more slowly than beard and moustache (I mow them all down to the same level at the same time). I think if I were to really let them all go, I'd look a lot like Darwin at the end of his life when I reach the end of mine.

Those old guys from the Darwin era must have spent a serious amount of time grooming those beards.
But Fred Engels and Darwin have nothing on these guys.

'. . . must have spent a serious amount of time grooming those beards.'
When mine is in it's long phase, I comb it carefully every evening.

I notice that those German guys entered the "chin beard" competion. What other sort of beard is there?
