it's all coming back to me now!
(I never ate that - being mostly veggie back then and, mostly, in receipt of arctic rations. Yum yum. Porrige with apricot flakes right out of the bag)

I used to swap all my curry & so on for the porridge - not much provision for veggies back then. What they get now looks - on paper - so much better, if I wasn't too old I'd sign right on up again!

the boil in the bag is better, just need good gloves as its best to rip open the pouch and eat straight out of the bag, the grease don't bubble into the water like it did with the tins so you don't get oil slicks in the teasmiley - biggrin

MonkeyS- all revved up with no place to go

I was 5 when the 70's started so I have vague memories of the foodstuffs from the period. I do remember Angel Delight, and Nesquick was also a favourite. My mum used to cook something called a Cabin Casserole which was my first introduction to curry. Kentucky Fried Chicken on a Friday evening after doing the shopping in Dorking, then a quick drive home to catch The Water Margin.

Fab lollies, Funny Faces, family block from the Ice Cream van- Tonibell. I remember going to McDonalds in Kensington, which was considered the height of luxury!! How times change.
