Fortunately we don't get many sheep in central London but I'll keep that in mind!
Thanks Gnomon!

JLC the TTP is talking about improving the intelligence of your unborn by listening to Mozart: (URL removed by moderator)
...I wonder what effect Robbie Williams might have????

Mmmm - a friend of mine suggested this to me. Apparently you attach this contraption to the speaker of your stereo and the other end to your stomach.
Robbie Williams? My only guess is that the child would be born with a HUGE ego.

I'm sure the Mozart thing wouldn't work if you couldn't stand Mozart yourself: you'd be all tensed up and just give the baby the grumps

Tigerlily,
Take it from one who knows, you CAN GET PREGNANT WHILST BREASTFEEDING, admittedly it's not common, but you certainly can.

Yes, it happened to a friend of mine. Although she did go on for rather a long time, I think the first one was nearly three. He noticed a change in the taste of the milk (happens when you have your period, too, I've heard) - perhaps he was even the first to know his Mum was pregnant!
I was very lucky - didn't have a period for the full eight weeks after stopping breast feeding in all of my pregnancies. And I fed the third one till he was 19 months.

You can get pregnant using any form of contraception.

I prefer the conventional way - using a man!

Hi Trillian's Child!
Your friend breast fed her son up until the age of three!? Is this normal?

Spiritual Warrior Posted Sep 4, 2000
From what I've heard, it happens, but not normal. Can't see that it is very (psychologically) healthy - you can remember stuff (albeit very little) from when you are 2 years onward...

Hi congratulations,
Consider breast-feeding but don’t let it be an absolute. Not every one can, and not everyone’s milk is right. And it doesn’t matter what size your boobs are i have always had size D's and I was not able to breast feed either of my children. Although there was a lot of pressure put on me to do so, don't let them put the pressure on you, If you don’t have enough milk and you have to supplement feed, say it is bottle time and don’t feel guilty. I have two beautiful healthy sons reared on bottles

Tigerlily,
You're now going to start getting the pregnant and kid jokes. Jokes that you didn't get or only chuckled at before will now make you ROTFL.
Have you decided whether you are going back to work outside the home and are you going to work inside the home as a Mommy? You're going to be working either way and being a stay at home mom is tough, maybe not so much with the first one but if you have another one it gets tough taking care of 2 children. Plus if you breast feed you will be getting up every 3 to 4 hours to feed the baby, that doesn't give you much time to sleep. If you stay at home you can nap when the baby naps. ADDVICE, nap when the baby naps, you'll need all the sleep can get.

Hi Most Harmless!
I've already decided to leave my job which is quite sad because it's the first job I've really enjoyed and I've only be doing it since January although I feel that if you can afford to stay at home with your baby you should. I can always return to work after a year or so, we'll see.

I almost forgot to ask... should I be deliriously happy at this early stage of the pregnancy? Should I be skipping around spreading my news with a smile on my face and knitting baby booties? (I ask this because I'm not) It's not that I'm not happy, I am, I do want the baby, but my husband seems to think I'm not happy because I'm not grinning from ear to ear 24 hours a day and takes this as me not wanting the baby.
