I think there are bad things happening in the world.
Global warming is purported to be the greatest threat facing humanity in our time, and it has been proposed that the greatest root cause of this is our burgeoning population. Some have argued that massive de-population is ultimately the only effective way to address the CO2 problem. It's not a massive leap of the imagination to go from this premise to the idea that 'they' could be plotting a way of decimating the population in order to save mankind.

'They', - who are 'they'.
Why, why would they want to do this, any thread from global warming even with the most pesamistic predictions won't be for a generation or two, of no benifit to 'they' at all.
If by 'they' your broadly intimating the 'ruling elete', ' 'polititions', etc., then no. They've no interst in doing anything about global warming by any means... so why then by this one?

It does seem they aren't really all that serious about the problem, considering it's supposed to be such a great threat. If they really believe what we're being told, you'd have thought they'd be taking more drastic action to avert the predicted catastrophe.

But if they do decide to take action (I suppose 'they' have families and want the best for their kids and grandchildren), population is the key and I suppose this would be the easiest way to address the population issue and to solve the problem.
