Had a good look at the end of our garden - the bit beyond the wooden panels. It is an absolute mess. The previous owner threw all his junk back there. There's a collapsed shed in the corner, almost totally obscured by the tons of wood piled around and on top of it. And that's just the start. Dread to think what is under all that wood. A washing machine is clearly visable. As are a broken set of dumbbells and an old football boot.
Goodness knows when we will get all of that cleared. I'm beginning to wish I'd never looked.

Yesterday - went to my mate Barry's house and had goats cheese and tapenade pizza (2 new things!)
Today I went to the post office and bought 84 25cent stamps and 9 60 cent stamps, and was half way through sticking them on all the newsletters I have to send out, using one of those little damp spongy whatsits, when the postie weighed one of them and I had to buy 72 10cent stamps and 16 20 cent stamps to cover the excess postage properly.
And tomorrow I'm flying from Hahn airport for the first time, and making my own way to RFs house for the first time. And I'll probably buy some German porn en route.
And on Friday I will have a interview with O****d for the first time.
That's at least 7 in just 3 days! You're underestimating our capabilities, B

Also today - I am picking up my new suit which I left in to be altered (first time I've had a suit professionally adjusted)
And yesterday I booked an appointment for next week to visit a school I've never been to before.
And I'm currently writing my own staff report which I don't usually do.
And trying to get hold of a colleague in Brussels who I've never spoken to before.

Made potato and fish cakes. Quite tasty.
Put up a light fitting. Used agent orange on the weeds in the cracks of my garden path.

I went for a second interview today - a first second as it were - with the Technical and the Commercial director of a place that I really fancy working at. Not sure if it went well or not - it didn't feel as comfortable as with the Ops director who I met last week - still time will tell eh!

I voluntarily went for a blood test and by the end of this week I will have made paving slabs, oh, and I saw a blue in my garden for the first time.

Maybe she'd just heard her lover was dying of cancer, maybe her cat had just been run over, maybe her son had just gone missing in Iraq.

Some daft git had a go at my girlfriend at work, asking her if she had ever heard of 'service with a smile'. The timing is especially bad as our cat has just been run over.

Tried and failed to buy Lemsips (or equivalent) in this country
Had to walk all the way to the chemist, explained what I wanted, but the girl just looked at me blankly and indicated the confusing array of medicines behind her.
I explained that I have an interview tomorrow, and wanted something to make me feel better - no it's not the flu, and no my nose isn't blocked.
She couldn't help me.
Rosehip tea, fishermans friends and soluble aspirin are what I'm making do with...
