What have you done this week that you have never done before?

Actually, I've done quite a few more things that I've never done before, than laugh about sucidal cats.
In rough order (as apposed to new order) they are:
Looked at someone in a new light. Then looked at someone in the same old light and thought myself stupid for seeing them in a new light. Changed my mind again and seen them in the new light, ignoring the old light which keeps annoyingly peeking around into the room. Old light won.
Felt safe.
Thought I was Bill Murray.
Met a hootooer.
Thought about being Phil Collins.

Been for a tramp in the woods - breaking in a new pair of hiking boots.
Saw "The Interpreter" last night at the cinema.
My daughter insisted on trtying a new spaghetti sauce that she hadn't tried before.
My lodger moved out

Well, tonight I intend to be purchasing an ironing board, which is something I haven't felt the need to do before.

No, I'm doing it so that we don't need to keep borrowing the in-law's ironing board.
Has Harry bought a board recently then? I'm shocked. See - - that's me shocked, that is.

Set up a new server from scratch, RAID and everything. Then stuck Exchange on there and transferred over the existing test accounts from the workstation we were using as a testbed server. It was cheaper to learn how to do it on the hop so to speak than to get some ubergeek in to do it, or send me out on an MSCE course.

My Mum called...
(No, no, that's happened before. MANY times!!!)
...and she told me she'd achieved a first today - speaking on the local radio! She was complaining about the election posters still being up, and how dangerous this was for the forthcoming motorbike race (The North West 200)
Very proud of my normally very shy mom, and how she's managed to achieve some local action

...meanwhile, my daughter's just written a review of a HP novel in order to enter a competition to meet JK Rowling and get a signed copy of #6
..and we took it in turns to read out her review in the style of our local radio deejay (think smashy and nicey here...)

On Sunday I cooked dinner for the parental units in my flat. never done that before.
Everything else I've done in the last week I seem to have done before...can't decide if that makes me really intersting for having done so much, or really boring for not doing anything new...
