Fantastic as in the size of the city, the cool tall buildings, everything seemed big in NYC the ESB was fantastic, the all access buses , Museums, Statin Island Ferry, JFK airport was cool too.

Usually all suitcases get lost in NY.

Last time i flew to the US, my bags arrived ok at PDX, but I was delayed until the next day...

So, you were lucky. I heard from many people that NY was eating their baggage and that they had to wait for some time. It also happened with my parents and me, but I can't really remember it.
