I went to the hootoo summer meet in London last year and will do so this year. It's on 16th July, and I'm really looking forward to it. When I spent my summer holidays in England last year, we went to London for a day, and I managed to meet one of my friends who showed us round his workplace and invited us for lunch. It was soooo fantastic.

Sounds great! Someday I want to do that too, but this year I'm alone at home at that time and have to look after the cat and I whouldn't really want to fly alone. Or rather: to be there alone, the flight is the minor thing.

The first and last time I was in London, or England as such, was when I was about six years old. So I haven't seen the London Eye yet.

as I said: south of Vienna, Austria, Europe (middle of)
NO KANGAROOS, that's the typical Austrian joke to make clear that we didn't make any spelling mistake, but really don't mean Australia

I've never been to Austria, and I don't intend to go there, I don't like the mountains, and I've never skied in my life.
I've been on the London Eye, the weather was lovely, but I wozuldn't do it again, it's soo expensive, and you have to wait for hours - so I think once is enough.

I see them when I look out of the window. I don't like to climb them, but to see them is very nice... well I don't see the really high ones.
Skiing is great! Unfortunately I haven't done it for some time.

When you're a rich and famous architect like me we'll build a convention center specially for hootoo meetings halfway between us (probably in Bavaria then maybe not...) and hire a special cat nanny... You get to do the forests, I'll do the basilisks

I've been to Austria a couple of times and liked it
never skiing, once for a walking holiday, and once to visit Vienna

Sorry to butt in
I visited Austria once whilst helping out a band called The Seven Little Sisters. Even though most of my time was spent sleeping in a moving van or ing around backstage changing/tuning fiddles, mandolins and other instruments, the scenery took my breath away every time I saw it.
Fabbo place.
And Wien....well. Lovely architecture if nothing else.

I only tried to go camping in Austria a few times, but my father always decided it was too expensive or there were too many caravans around (he believes in bare-bones camping)... We always ended up going to Switzerland the next day, or driving back to France...

It depends on where you go. When you go to the places all tourists go, then it's no wonder that it's expensive. But I think Austria is expensive anyhow, and since we've got the Euro... They have a strange kind of maths, you know. 1 Euro is about 14 Schillings, so something which once was 100 Schillings worth now is 10 Euros...

My Ex went to a school in Austria for three months. It was in a really small town close to another small town... I can't recall the name of either. The school was a Capenray college. (Think I misspelled Capinrae as well.)
He sent mini Milka's and flowers he picked in the mountains to me in the mail. He was very romantic and weird.
Can I get Milka in Canada, you think? Best chocolate ever!

Mmmmmhhhhh! Milka, just had a pice of it, with nuts. I've got no idea whether you can get it in Canada, the only thing I know is: you SHOULD be able to get it everywhere.

...this somehow sums up most of what you can say about Austria.
