Where in the World are you from?

I went to the hootoo summer meet in London last year and will do so this year. It's on 16th July, and I'm really looking forward to it. When I spent my summer holidays in England last year, we went to London for a day, and I managed to meet one of my friends who showed us round his workplace and invited us for lunch. It was soooo fantastic.smiley - magic

Sounds great!smiley - magicsmiley - cool Someday I want to do that too, but this year I'm alone at home at that time and have to look after the cat and I whouldn't really want to fly alone. Or rather: to be there alone, the flight is the minor thing.smiley - erm

The first and last time I was in London, or England as such, was when I was about six years old. So I haven't seen the London Eye yet.

I've never been to Austria, and I don't intend to go there, I don't like the mountains, and I've never skied in my life.
I've been on the London Eye, the weather was lovely, but I wozuldn't do it again, it's soo expensive, and you have to wait for hours - so I think once is enough.

When you're a rich and famous architect like me smiley - winkeye we'll build a convention center specially for hootoo meetings halfway between us (probably in Bavaria then smiley - erm maybe not...) and hire a special cat nanny... You get to do the forests, I'll do the basilisks smiley - monster

Sorry to butt in smiley - smiley

I visited Austria once whilst helping out a band called The Seven Little Sisters. Even though most of my time was spent sleeping in a moving van or smiley - runing around backstage changing/tuning fiddles, mandolins and other instruments, the scenery took my breath away every time I saw it.
Fabbo place.
And Wien....well. Lovely architecture if nothing else.

I only tried to go camping in Austria a few times, but my father always decided it was too expensive or there were too many caravans around (he believes in bare-bones camping)... We always ended up going to Switzerland the next day, or driving back to France... smiley - erm

It depends on where you go. When you go to the places all tourists go, then it's no wonder that it's expensive. But I think Austria is expensive anyhow, and since we've got the Euro... They have a strange kind of maths, you know. 1 Euro is about 14 Schillings, so something which once was 100 Schillings worth now is 10 Euros...smiley - erm

My Ex went to a school in Austria for three months. It was in a really small town close to another small town... I can't recall the name of either. The school was a Capenray college. (Think I misspelled Capinrae as well.)

He sent mini Milka's and flowers he picked in the mountains to me in the mail. He was very romantic and weird.

Can I get Milka in Canada, you think? Best chocolate ever!
