Reefgirl (Brunel Baby)

I won't mention Seaman Staines and Master Bates from Capt Pugwash

And it wasn't Roger the Cabinboy, his name was Tom

"Rohhda (Morganstern) which was a spin-off of a series that I can't remember the title of"

Rhoda was a spin off from the Mary Tyler Moore Show, my mum used to let me stay up late to watch it, I liked Brenda (who now does the vioce of Marge Simpson) Ida and Carlton the door man

smiley - applause Thanks, ReefGirl, I couldn't remember the other people. Marge of the Simpsons? Come a long way then. Wonder what happened to Rhoda? And of course, that brings us to Mary Tyler Moore, and Dick Van Dyke of course. And 'Here's Lucy'? Desai Arnaz anyone?

Then there is the British comedy with the likes of
All Gas and Gaters,
Please Sir,
And was it Bless Me Father (with Derek Nimmo)
I know it's not really Children's Tv, but I was a child at the time (as in up to mid-teens)
If so, then I guess Bless This House,
Alf Garnet (forgotten the program, but I sneaked a watch when the parents were out, as I was banned from watching it... )
Steptoe and Son...
Good old classics.
Others were required (by my parents) Sunday viewing such as:
Poldark
The Onedin Line (Good ol' Cap'n Baines they don't speak like that these days...)

But getting back to Kids tv, Saturday was always special, as it was the one day that we didn't sit at a table for supper, being allowed to watch tv in the lounge with trays on our laps. The Reason?

The Wonderful World of Disney,
The Generation Game, (Bruce Forsythe and his Bevy of Belles and Larry 'shut that door' Grayson)
followed by either The Good life, To The Manor Born, Dad's Army or Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. The memory is a little sketchy here.

I can also recall The Dick Emery Show, which I think was on the same evening, as well as Harry Worth.

One thing I am unsure of is when The Goodies first appeared, and whether I was older then. Not sure. As I say it gets a bit blurry.

Dea.. - call me Mrs B!

I remember a programme from Saturday mornings called Fantastic Journey or something like that. I have no idea of the plotline but it was a kind of forerunner of Sliders or Quantum Leap (another personal favourite!) And I'm sure Roddy McDowall was in it.

There were basically people in silver suits trying to get home from another world or dimension or time???

And writing bout the above programme reminded me of Fantasy Island.
