Mikey,
Why do you keep digging at this? And why not reply to my post 827, if your main goal is discussion?

Arnie Appleaide - Inspector General of the Defenders of Freedom Posted May 20, 2005
Plus, since it's been an issue of character, isn't it better for Az to have those emails as evidence, rather than having had them blocked? If nothing else, they serve as a sanity check for Az - she knows she's not crazy.

Er, yes, you have... We exchanged around six or so emails in the period November to December 2004 - have you forgotten?
<>
That is just utterly untrue, though somehow I feel your word will be accepted, though mine will not..

I'm responding to Az, just as she responded to me -- I really don't think it's your call who I do and don't choose to respond to.

Arnie Appleaide - Inspector General of the Defenders of Freedom Posted May 20, 2005
It's not my call, but it does reflect badly on you if you leave a debate/argument hanging and switch topics. Standard debate procedure really.
So it proves you're not interested in discussing this, just complainging about it. Now that we have that established, I know how to read your future posts on the subject accordingly.

Mikey the Humming Mouse - A3938628 Learn More About the Edited Guide! Posted May 20, 2005
You seem somewhat confused. I did not start a debate -- Az posted something, and I asked *her* a question. You chose to insert yourself into the discussion, but that in no way obligates me to carry on the discussion with you when it is her opinion I'm interested in. In the past, she's given me reason to respect her - so even though I don't always agree with her decisions, I do value what she has to say.

Arnie Appleaide - Inspector General of the Defenders of Freedom Posted May 20, 2005
I think you are somewhat confused. You chose to respond to my points, for awhile. Until post 827, which I thought was a reasonable explanation. But perhaps you weren't interested in being reasonable?

Mikey the Humming Mouse - A3938628 Learn More About the Edited Guide! Posted May 20, 2005
I chose to respond to your posts when I thought you were actually interested in what I had to say, rather than just trying to prove your own point -- or rather, your perception of what you think Az's point would be. Which I'm really not interested in.

Somebody appears to have yikes'd my last posting where I sadi I understood the eds position re Hoo but not Apple, and asked who else. Anyone who saw that post think there was anything offensive in it?

Arnie Appleaide - Inspector General of the Defenders of Freedom Posted May 20, 2005
Well, Kelli, I would love to point it out, but then this post would just get yikes'd. Maybe that's enough of a clue as to why it got yikes'd.

I'm guessing Apple yikes'd me, presumably for saying I didn't know why she was being treated differently from Hoo.
At what stage does one get an email? Is it only if the mods decide to remove?

Oh dear, this is quite a mess that's erupted.
I think this is what Wandering Albatross was worried about when he said using the Italics as steroids would weaken the community (for anyone who missed the analogy, it's about 10 pages back)
I'm sorry to see Hoo has gone, it's a shame that the Community has lost someone with such obvious intelligence and entertainment value. However, from what I've gathered, his absence is his own fault, he acted stupidly and got himself into this trouble. I hope when he's finished sulking he'll come back
Earlier it was mentioned Apple (sorry Apple, I know you'll be reading this and I hate being ignorant and writing in 3rd person but it's the only way I can do it) *might* be using other accounts. I thought the House Rules were very clear on this, anyone using alternate accounts to bypass pre-mod or a ban will be banned, probably for life. I'd hate to see another Researcher - any Researcher - lost over this.
Maybe now the Italics have bared their teeth we can just calm down and get back to being civilised?

It's the entire email. Totally unedited. And you know it.
Emails sent to me by you since December: 19/5, 15/5, 16/4, 12/3, 7/3, 27/2, 26/2, 8/2 (two that day), 6/2, 5/2 (two), 4/2 (two), 3/2. Many more than two since December, though only the last few ones were abusive.
<> (Apple)
I have never given you my personal email address. All emails I have received from you are on the Yahoo account I set up for the photo gallery.
<> (Apple)
Well, Noggin certainly didn't appreciate your vicious remarks about our relationship in email 15/5 - you really outdid yourself that time. You see, there are witnesses that you actually *do* dare to do such a thing.
<> (Apple)
I have witnesses, Apple. So please stop lying, you're only making yourself look foolish.

Della's reply partly answers your question, Mikey. In any case, I have not said that the emails 'bother me' per se, only that they are unpleasant and are something I've been putting up with lately.

Is that right? Well, Apple posted at least twice last night using one of her other accounts - Flora Light U729416
It will be interesting to see how this is dealt with.

I've just found the relevant section of the HouseRules:
>>If the BBC suspects for any reason that an account has been opened and/or is being primarily operated by or on behalf of a banned Researcher<<
I guess it could mean it doesn't apply for those on pre-mod, though this would be a fairly galring oversight/loophole if it were true

My only other account, and this was before I knew I was on pre-mod, I've only just got the email, which 'went missing' - strange as none of the ones telling me about the 35 yikesed posts, at least one of them from 2002, went missing!
I thought the problem was a glitch in the system, all too common on h2g2 anyway!
