That could have been worse, though. Ivory Coast could have nuclear weapons and North Korea's leadership.

A while ago I posted a link to a story about homeless people being hired to clear snow from our stadium in preparation for our national Football championship. Here's some video of one of those people enjoying the rehearsal for the half-time show.
It doesn't end well.

I know for a fact that lives of great promise were cut short by the Lockerbie bombing. I don't criticise Scotland for its humanitarian decision to release the bomber earlier, but why are he and his family not concerned about the world's loss of its gifted young?

Technically, there isn't much that ends well. As Keynes said, "In the long run we are all dead." That is why I would like to stipulate in my will that my ashes should be used to grow flowers, which would at least bring pleasure to someone.

I'm sure there must be flowers that nobody is allergic too. if there aren't, then maybe my ashes can be used to grow strawberries or raspberries.

The bad ending in the video was that the dancing man stumbled . . .
and fell . . .
and rolled down a goodly number of the steps of the Stadium.
I haven't been able to find out the extent of his injuries.

I could get upset by these stories if I let myself, but Obama will ride in on a white horse and find a sensible compromise.

'Obama will ride in on a white horse'
I believe, Paul, that the proper term is 'European-American horse'.
