A former Labour Minister is in court today charged with election offences. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/7998847/Former-minister-in-High-Court-battle-over-election-dirty-tricks.html

I hope they find the disgusting little man guilty and get him out of politics. Here's the leaflet he distributed.

I find Woolas excreble, and the tone of this leaflet to totally confirm the reasons why I dislike him so (though I would wonder if some on hootoo would have some sympathy with the position espoused in the leaflet).

However whilst disgusting based on what I think I don't really I'm not really sure if the leaflet does on the tin what the Liberal Democrat bloke is alleging. An amnesty for long term illegal immigrants was Liberal Democrat policy, and whilst it is scummy the way the leflet is set up I'n not sure there are any direct lies in it... perhaps I am wrong.

Still I won't shed a tear if woolas is booted out, I dislike him intensely...

as the majority was only 106, the best outcome would be a re-run

I doubt he'll be found guilty either unfortunately. He walked a very fine line. Whereas he made himself abundantly clear and stirred up racial tensions, he did so by allusion and innuendo.

I think if someone has really broken the rules they ought to be disqualified from running again. And when I read the story earlier I was amused that Woolas, on of my least favourite ministers in the previous government, was in trouble.

However looking at that leaflet (though perhaps there were others), whilst a summy way of conductiong ones self it does not look like he has done what the article I read earlier suggested he had done.

it will be interesting to see the outcome.

Just send him over to France, the current government doesn't seem to mind anyway.

"Luke Angel was reprimanded by police on both sides of the Atlantic after firing off a drunken message to the White House calling the president a "p****".

The FBI intercepted the message and contacted police in the UK who went to see the 17-year-old at his home in Silsoe, Bedfordshire.

Luke, a college student, is now on a list of people who are banned from visiting the States."

The government is to set out plans later for a badger cull in England, which it believes is necessary to curb tuberculosis in cattle.
