"Ryanair has backed down over a decision to limit the expenses payments paid to stranded passengers for food and accommodation".
Cos that's not a publicity stunt at all! Why didn't the BBC just put a Ryanair advert on their website!

Umm... Just how is an inanimate object such as a flag going to prove in court that it feels criminally insulted?

Supporters of a new ecocide law also believe it could be used to prosecute "climate deniers" who distort science and facts to discourage voters and politicians from taking action to tackle global warming and climate change.

Ecocide denial!
The whirled has gone mad!
It's bad enough that atheists like Dawkins are suggesting making
'evolution denial' a crime.
You can't legislate taste. And some percentage will always hold
contrary opinions. 11% of Americans believe Elvis is alive and a similar if not greater percentage swear they have met aliens.
But the majority must remember that the whole point of free speech and freedom of thought is to allow even the most unlikely and stupid and uninformed opinions to be held and expressed. Once we start locking people up for having 'wrong' ideas or hateful opinions we might as well admit the devil has won. Again.

'Canada' is most certainly *not* thinking of getting Capt. Kirk (or even Shatner) to be the next GG -- a bunch of slackers of indeterminate nationalities on facebook have clicked on 'become a fan of this page'.
Personally, i would much rather see a campaign to have him return to the stage in Stratford (Ontario) in the role of Prospero in The Tempest. That would be worthwhile.

"Black French speaking Haitian woman" Careful JWF or you'll be getting a visit by the Ton Ton Macouts
Before I get into trouble with the Canadian GG myself, I'm sure she wanted nothing to do with Papa Doc or Baby Doc either

Great pictures Yelbakk.
Kinda puts things in perspective to see how 'puny' the volcano
looks against the a sky being ravaged by solar energy.
