I don't know how to save either.
I can't get past the destruction of the earth at the moment I've got the device but don't know what to do with it.

If you type "save" it'll ask what you want to save it as...

Which doesn't always work, but mine's started. It never used to in the early parts, but it does now... I'm not sure if it didn't save for me because it was early or not...
Ahhh, person with the device (i replyed to Footbacon's post, I can't remember who it was!), I recommend you examine it closely.

I'd quite like to know how to remove saved games as I have a bit of a list now (mainly because I keep realising that there are things I missed earlier in the game that I am having to go back and sort out). Any ideas?

"It" couldn't cope with my sense of humour and went "Aaaaarrrrgh!!!" on me... That was a brilliant moment...
Kea... I like the idea of a A page for the game... If you have something started by Sunday [no pressure, of course...] could you post its A number here?...
The reason being that I _might_ write a "What's in a etc..." kind of article for <./>ThePost</.> with HHGG [and of course _the_ game] related links in it for next week's edition and your page would definitely get a good spot there...
Talk soon...

Traveller in Time on top
"I guess the idea was to store your progress in only one file .
You could post the question to 'Sean D. Sollé' < U7 >.
He is 'on vacation' right now, but you never know who responds. Perhaps we get to see 'Shim's blue fish' ()?
How about the 'Central Game Page' you proposed? I limit myself to linking the threads . We could start a page, just to keep the threads together on a page. "

loup, I'll get something up by Sunday (a good deadline always helps - not to mention the incentive of publicity )
Thanks, I'll drop by Sean's U7 page and ask my question there (although I don't know about vacation as he has eyes right now).
Don't worry himura, there are many more banging your head against the titanium wall moments to come once you get off the Vogon ship

Kea.. that will help make the article more interesting/useful/etc..
[I had to say Sunday because <./>ThePost</.>'s deadline for articles is Monday and I'm a relatively slow typer/GuideMLer... Plus, I always give myself some safety margin due to RL usually throwing something in my way at that particular time of the week...]
On my way to work on the draft...

Okay, I made a start here: A3072746
I still have to add the Ask links and a few bits and pieces, and make the page look nicer in general and acceptable in goo. I'll do some more work on it over the weekend.
Any feedback or ideas are most welcome
kea.

>I'd also like to encourage a place where people stuck with the game can come for assistance that gently nudges in the right direction rather than giving great bloody heaves with a bulldozer, so to speak.<
I'll definitely have to use that as a quote...
It's a great start... The only thing I'd advise to do [and it doesn't need to be done straight away - unless the convos get very busy... which could happen... and might happen.. actually it's bound to happen... err, I'm running out of things with "happen" in it...] would be to add the tips and links that will be posted in the threads to it as, after a while, it can be difficult to go through a backlog to find one particular info...
I probably should be ing right now [and nope, it's not night time...]...
Talk soon...

Which Dark??????
If you're new to the game get used to the dark, you'll be in it alot!!!!!
A subtle hint is to wait, wait, and then wait somemore..... and finally wait!
If you do this often enough, (and READ WHAT IS WRITTEN ON THE SCREEN)
you should get a hint as what to do.
But if you concetrate and come to your SENSES you should get out
I'm having a problem myself in that I know I need to talk to people, but whenever I type Say to, or talk to I get the .... listens
but whatever I type next comes up with talking to yourself is a sign of madness!!!
Stupid I know but I'm stuck.....
