Why do you hate God? The Thiest question.

jwf...trying to organise atheists is like trying to herd cats; you can't do it. They might agree that gods do not exist but on other things they'll probably disagree...that's what being a human is all about,

>>the beginnings of an atheist movement, organisation, structure... leading to gatherings, meetings, group actions and eventually missionary work. All of which is contrary to the essential elements of religious deconstruction.
<<
That's what they said about the anarchist organization.
That was a flippant version of a serious answer. Try this.
Why is it that you can't understand such a simple point? All we're asking is that we not be compelled to join some gang. Why would we join a gang in order to do that?

Simpost.
3Dots said it better.
I remember the first time I heard John Lennon sing imagine no religion
I burst out laughing because the first image that came into my head was of war being fought over some other idiotic idea.

By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another,
By the raging hurricanes,
By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive;
By those who winnow with a winnowing,
By those who bring down the Reminder,
To excuse or to warn,
Surely that which ye are promised will befall.
...
Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty.
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down!
Woe unto the repudiators on that day!
In what statement, after this, will they believe? Qur'an: The Winds sent forth

I di not call myself and athiest or a secularist. I am me: 3Dots, a human being. I was born, I will die. What happens in between has/is/will happen due to other human beings doing things without the need for some god who doesn't interfere anyway...unless believers think it does...oyherwise it doesn;t which is why bad things happen, unless random, lucky good things happen which is god doing stuff...even though believers keep telling us he is hands off which is why earthquakes and tsunamis can kill 1000's of people.

warner...thnak you for that vacuous post. Of you aren't actually going to contribute to furthering the discussion please don't bother posting. It's a tad annoying. Not really annoying as I see your name, see verses below it and ignore the post. It merely shows you have no original thought, no personal ideas, simply quote from some 1000year old book made up of even older stories.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden imbeciles;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the imbeciles.

'The war of the end of time is the war of the world. There will be a third war after two great wars in which many are killed. He who will light the fires of the second world war will be known as the 'Great Leader.'
(Al- Mahdi-ul Munthazar)
Hitler, who started the Second World War and virtually declared
war on the whole world, was known as the 'Fuhrer,' meaning 'leader, guide, commander.'

I see the Quangle Wangle's back.
The Pobble who has no toes
Had once as many as we;
When they said "Some day you may lose them all;"
He replied "Fish, fiddle-de-dee!"
And his Aunt Jobiska made him drink
Lavender water tinged with pink,
For she said "The World in general knows
There's nothing so good for a Pobble's toes!"

I don't know if anybody's interested, but there's a historical timeline here on BBC religion web pages:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/tools/civilisations/
"It uses web technology to reveal the sweep of historical forces and the rise and fall of great empires and ideas over 5000 years in a way that no book could ever do."

Nice misquote. It's like on some level you got the irony that I intended and then turned it around. I'm not one of those who think faithers are stupid, you showed your cleverness here.

I tasted Marmite for the first time in 50 years and low and behold I quite liked it, but still no change no the “God” front though.
