Title changed in his honour.
Life, the Universe and Everything.

I can't comment about their theological ideas. I comment on what has been happening in Latinoamerica for a long time. The fact that the information is in Spanish, needless to say, has helped me a lot to understand what it is about.

Ah. But is Liberation Theology a major part of that?
Have you read anything by Subcommandante Marcos?
Life, the Universe and Everything.

Marcos el guerrillero de Chiapas?
It was a piece of news a few years ago.
Ah, you say by him. I didn't know he has something published.

thanks for the link, Ed.
I've bookmarked to read it calmly.
the pinguino,
...could you translate disenfranchised? please?
...disenfranchised people he champions.

Can't translate, so I'll explain.
'Franchise' means to be given a political voice. 'The franchise' is (American, mainly) for the electorate. So 'the disenfranchised' are those without influence in political power.

Sweaty dreams... http://xkcd.com/425/
I've caught up!
(And no one said anything about non-fear of the dark.)
I did have something to say about God, free-will, and omniscience, but I've forgotten it now. Something about looking at flatland from the outside, and seeing everything in it, and even being 'outside time', but still not being able to predict the future of the 'higher dimension' in which you yourself live.
This makes theoretical sense in my own mind, but I may or may not believe it myself. The evidence in support of it certainly seems to be slim to non-existant.
May I say also that, like pocketprincess, this thread (and others) have been influential in changing my opinions on the world.

I've just got halfway through that video Gif linked to earlier, and am giving up. It truly is painful. http://www.justsixdays.co.uk/wordpress/?p=137
