I agree with Honest Iago, of course the colour matters, that is by far the most important part, again I agree the red ones are the nicest..
I couldn't just bite off their heads though, I like to be more gentle and go for the feet, but then again is that maybe more cruel? because then the head could watch when your biting off their feet.
The icing sugar is also very important because when you lick it off their little features become much clearer and the boy ones are best and I'm sure there is more to a boy than a girl but i'll refrain from stating which part.

I always liked the black ones the best. Interesting about the red ones being popular, do you have *Smarties* in Britain?
'When you eat your Smarties,
Do you eat the red ones last?
Do you suck them very slowly,
Or crunch them very fast?
Eat that candy-coated chocolate,
But tell me when I ask,
When you eat your Smarties,
Do you eat the red ones last?'

Still another point, the jelly babies here are harder than the UK ones so they don't have to powder them.
Wot, you pour the entire thing into your mouth at once?

I didn't realise Smarties existed on your side of the pond. I thought it was all Skittles and M&Ms and stuff.
Anyway, jelly babys. I used to bite the heads off, but now I just shovel them in, not even stopping to count how many are meeting their doom at once.

Canada has a (thankfully) UK base for it's sweets, much less than the US. (But then we get some US treats as well.) US winegums are very different from UK ones and the US generally think that jellybabies are a quaint reference to jelly beans, which they are not of course. Unless the jelly babies are from Europe they are made here in Canada and are as I said are harder, making the coating unneccessary (but missed!).

That explains why I never saw any in Ohio then. I do wish we could get Reeces Pieces in the UK though.

Well you can get little gummi bears which are made of a harder jelly and taste fruitier, maybe US/Canadian jelly babies are made in a similar way

Think I prefer the green ones. Make sure they are on your shopping list. Jelly Babies have feelings too, you know.

Bears with no teeth? Oh Oh yeah. Gummy bears. An American confection, which were so popular they went on to become cartoon characters.
Tried them, but they were not so nice as Barretts Jelly Babies.

Don't gummi bears have soft gooey centres? Didn't they star in their own cartoon? You'd never see Jelly Bears branching into movies...

I don't think we've got jelly babys here, but lots of different gummi bears. There is a special sort on sale where I work- very yummy- huge red ones. They are so expensive that I usually don't buy them for myself but as a small gift for friends. I never buy smarties, nor anything else produced by ´Nestlé.

Haven't bought Nestlé products for very many years now, although I have to admit, that they are extremely difficult to avoid here , even L'Oréal belongs to them.
It's just that they aren't politically correct- or at least they weren't when i started, I'm just so used to avoid them

Now you have to tell me why they aren't pc. I'm not sure it might be a powerful enough reason for me to stop eating their stuff, but I'd like to know.
