Having watched this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmonton_Tornado go past on a rather disturbing afternoon and then having to drive through the destruction twice a day for months afterward, I have to say, tornadoes are one of the nastiest things nature can throw at you.
On a further personal note, remember the truck driver/rain god in one of Douglas Adams' books? Well, before the Edmonton tornado of 1987, I had the questionable pleasure of also witnessing the Windsor Ontario tornado of 1974 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Outbreak#Windsor.2C_Ontario.2C_Canada_tornado and the extremely bizarre Sudbury tornado of 1970 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudbury,_Ontario_tornado
So, I've been a witness to three of the ten deadliest tornadoes in Canadian History, I was very close to another (Pine Lake, 2000), and I was only very distant from the one other of the ten deadliest that occurred in my lifetime (Barrie, 1985).
Am I a tornado god?

Re post 1001.
And they say kids these days don't show any spunk. I'm still wiping the tears from my eyes and snorting with uncontrollable laughter. Thanks Mr PP.

And another one that's cool and fun and impressive in a very different way - I want that software package - just a shame about the schmaltzy story line:
