There have been a few rather"exotic" places...
A contemplative Benedictine monastery hermitage in Big Sur, California when I was on a silent retreat last week.
Backstage in concert halls all over the states and in Canada during dress rehearsals and also right before going on to vocally perform. It's lovely to have the support of hootoo best friends with me at times like that!
A taco stand while a mariachi band blared loudly around me in Los Angeles.

An internet kiosk in Faro airport, Portugal. I seem to remember making some rather disgruntled post about how fords and I had been stuck there for four hours because the whole of France had gone on strike.

I posted from Kuala Lumpur, last year. Really city, but extremely hot and sweaty – hence the need to take refuge in an air-conditioned internet cafe for a couple of hours.

I went onto H2G2 in Istanbul just after a big earthquake there - it's a long story...
Have also gone onto H2G2 in Sydney Australia, San Jose California, and I'm currently doing so from Chicago.

Yes. Now called "The Horsehead Nebula & Lettuce". Or is it "Pitcher & Horsehead Nebula"? Or "All Bar Horsehead Nebula"? Or "The Horsehead Nebula Under Water"?

Wasn't Nobbler a young character in the film 'Please Sir'? Good to see he's made a career for himself. Mind you, he's probably knocking on a bit for a barman.

Narita airport, Tokyo. (Posted a journal entry from there!)
The balcony of a hotel room overlooking downtown Manhattan.
The sun-terrace of a restaurant 3000m up an Alp, via wifi on an iPaq.
