I heard it on a morning commercial radio station bulletin.
Funnily enough on the next bulletin it was back to the 'Suffolk murders'. Maybe the 1st one was a bit of add libbing by the newsreader

"He said: "What may be an issue is that when he starts running out of prostitutes not becoming available, he will see any woman who's out on the street at night on their own as a prostitute and will target them as a possible victim.""
From http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/6172499.stm.
So it's not an issue that women with a certain type of job are being murdered? It's only an issue is that when he runs out of these worhless women he'll start targetting 'real' women?
Disgusting.

I agree Mina
I notice that the Radio 4 news is refering to them as murdered women today, rather than murdered prostitutes.

On Breakfast this AM they were being referred to as 'the Suffolk Murders', so I think a little progress has been made, with the BBC at least.

In a newspaper today someone said lets make prostitution legal and bring them all indoors.
Well that is fine and dandy and easy to say if you have not had a prostitute working in a door 3 feet from your own front door and was wondering if you might have to move out as situation was getting so bad as you had a stream of red faced and shifty looking people walking past you as you go in and out of your flat many times on a sunny day! It sounds great, if you HAVE NOT gone out to your rubbish bins and pick up a carrier bag fallen on floor for it to open and out pore hundreds of used condoms onto your bare hands, believe me you can't feel your hands are clean when eating even after using neat bleach to clean them.
Fine have big ideas, but bringing prostitutes indoors is great, but not if you sit in your flat getting angry and can hear the woman again rushing to toilet to spit out the results of what she has just done, and have to put up with the ever increasing smell coming from the flat that has its bedroom just next to your front door. And if this sounds angry then it is, if you wasn't there then you don't know what it is like to feel dirty in your own flat!

Leaving aside the personal aspect, I think any 'legalisation' would almost certainly involve the setting up of legalised brothels, which is what they did in, I believe, South Australia.
So unlikley to be in the flat next door to anybody.

Well it is a personal thing and not just to the prostitutes and Johns involved, it is very personal when even a prostitute has to call the police due to the lunatic trying to smash in the front door, buy hey, at least "trade" stopped for one afternoon. Not sure the man who came to collect her takings at end of day was pleased though....

I read this news today from newspaper. It's horrible, and like story only happens in the film.
Hope the UK police catch the killer before this Christmas and no more people die.
May the world peace.

The way this is being reported is really starting to bug me... piecing all the reports together gives us 37-year-old 50-year-old Glaswegian from Trimley St Martin who kills by strangulation, suffocation and stabbing, is addicted to bondage and violent sex, but doesn't sexually assault the victims.
So lots of good hard facts then.

Just saw a news story that the person arrested has been named in the papers. How wonderful, let´s hope he doesn´t run into a lynch mob.

Erm, you mean the man who's been arrested and whose name is plastered all over the BBC website?

Watching the BBC Six O'clock News, it would appear that no trial is necessary. The BBC and his neighbours seem to have decided he's guilty already.
Do we really need to see his back garden and his MySpace site?
I's just as well there's nothing else happening in the world.

Seeing as everyone was complaining about it earlier, but didn't bother to change the title, I thought I'd take the chance to.
What's the betting that Tom Stevens is released without charge in 2 days' time, having been sacked from his job, and shunned by all his friends?
Ducking trial by tabloid . The BBC should delete that article immediately, and put up an apology instead. But I bet they hide behind that old chestnut "it's in the public domain". Doesn't mean they have to propagate rumours and lies.

What other media outlet would be capable of oding such a self critical peice as Paxman is currently doing on Newsnight.

Possibly Channel 4, but not many, if any, others.
(And isn't C4 still partially publically funded?)

The accused MySpace page was also mentioned. That one is apparently gone now, with the message: "Invalid Friend ID. This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted."
I wonder if that is Myspace themselves that decided to get rid of it, even he has only been charged.
