Grapefruit are often not sweet at all yet nobody ever calls them vegetables. Perhaps because the word 'fruit' is actually in the name and so folks don't get confused.

Not a nut? Is it then a fruit? Then why did someone add nut to its name, thats deliberate thoughtlessness and misleading information, they should be punished.
As for tomatoes, I hereby ban all tomatoes from this household owing to the confusion over indentification except when they are on pizza when they are not a fruit or a vegetable at that time but merely a paste...
Would anyone consider calling the tomato, 'formerly a fruit and/or vegetable, as - formerly a fruit and/or vegetable, now known as the red, firm but sometimes squishy thing that people add to salads for colour?'
