IMO 'expectoration' comes very high up on the 'grossness scale. (especially as it was once linked with the transmission of TB. I think it is pretty gross to see footbasllers 'flobbing' onto the turf, and this is emulated by the youth of today expectorating onto pavements etc etc with gay abandon!

I think I can see some sub classifications beginning to appear e.g. healthy, sick, dead or possibly child, adult or male female.

I think we want to limit it to the unaided exudances of the living body. I think that zit popping is covered by the secretion of sebum. Also - expression is the artificial stimulation of lactation.
