So wot does ya Desktop look like

on a slightly more to the point note, has anyone else out there customised their desktop above and beyond changing the wallpaper
(e.g. if ya look at http://happy.sdf-eu.org/desktop4.jpg you will the Taskbar & StartMenu are transparent, the Clock shows the date & time and the StartButton is now the ...Button )
just wondering ... and keep posting the wallpapers

With Mac OS X any picture will be modified by size and shape to fill the desktop. Under *System Preferences- Desktop* It does sometimes crop the wrong area but that is fixable with photoshop or graphic converter.

well windows will stretch any pic to fit & ya can always crop with paint ... as mac OS X, well BSD rocks

Right now, its black with the slipknot 9 point star, with the slipknot "S" in the middle, i change mine every other fortnigth or so, i usually have these gothic pictures of the grim reaper or monsters or something, scares most of my friedns, they think im weird for it. but im not gothic

I have a little utility for Mac OS X that downloads NASA's Astronomy Photo Of The Day and plonks it on my desktop every day
Yesterday was a photo from Mars

If it's os X
To capture the entire screen, you can simply press Command-Shift-3 to capture a region of the screen, press Command-Shift-4, then click and drag the cursor to mark the area you want to capture. When you lift your finger from the mouse button, Mac OS X will record that real estate and place a .pdf file on your desktop.
