Well, in this one you'll be surrounded by h2g2 researchers and we are a nice bunch, aren't we? And as the group is, as you noticed, not terribly active you should get some attention easily.

Just give it a try. You can always leave the group if it does not suit you, it ain't no Hotel California...

Absolutely not, it'll be for any. Hence the 'swap' list. Would those who've already volunteered be okay with their offer being put on the main page (as well as the threads)?

I have spent an unproductive night on the PC trying to compile some infos for the h2g2 Essex Researchers Group [some piccies not being where i assumed they should be in the Picture library not helping either ]... I will certainly be busy with that project for longer than i expected, but i will keep in touch as much as possible...

I know there have been some other projects regarding languages, but they don't seem to be active anymore...

As for the TV licence payers comment [in an earlier previous post], definitely a good point there... The defense of the foreign postings policy in the House Rules is based on the assumption that TV licence payers don't want anything to do with foreign languages [kind of contradicted anyway by many pages in foreign languages on the BBC website]... Which of course is not completly true as, apart for the fact that for quite a few of them English is not their first language in the first place, a lot of people living in the UK are learning/have learned/want to learn _at least_ one foreign language...

I can understand the fact that it would be rude to post in a foreign language in the middle of a thread all in English, but it really should be ok if it is in a thread where postings in a foreign language are expected... Especially if a translation is provided...

It can't be done. However there IS a solution!

We make a THIRD account that we both know the name and password to. Then we can both access the page and edit it. Does this sounds worthwhile?

Which one, A1145477? I haven't done anything with that yet. Which one got deleted?

the old one....i went to test etc etc and it said it had been deleted...so i did testuserpage and it still says its been deleted...so im having to copy and paste text but rewrite the guideml it's no problem, just a touche annoying. It's alright though, I'm taking care of it. Can you see if there are resources for other languages such as dutch, spanish, finnish...etc etc?
