Peter Cook came out with some good ones in his time.
At one time there was an American trying to get into The Establishment Club (which Cook owned). The Yank had pushed through the waiting line, and generally caused great annoyance. When Peter found out, he asked him to go the back of the queue. To which the man replied "Don't you know who I am?!"
Cook promptly grabbed some PA equipment, stood on a box, and said "Ladies and Gentleman, a moment please. There is a man here who appears to have lost his identity. So if anyone here knows who he is, could they please tell him. Thank you."
