A Conversation for Ask h2g2
Childhood memories of TV series

I seem to have a vague memory of a television programme or series called "Mr.Terrific" I think probably shown on British tv around the early 60s.
May have been American, maybe not as it was a very long time ago.
I seem to remember that he was a superhero who flew out of his bedroom window or something supermanlike.
On asking friends they have no recollection of the existence of such a series.
Is this my imagination?
Can anyone out there confirm this?
And are there any other tv programmes memorable to your childhood?

I can't confirm your memories as I was but a twinkle in my fathers eye in the sixties
But Mr Ben always stod out, some wierd bloke goes into a fancy dress shop and has all these adventures.
Thundercats, Lost cities of gold, Ulysess 31 were all toons I made sure I was in the house for
"Thundercats are GO!"

Rings no bells with be, but the imdb lists it, and says your memories are accurate:

Bertha, Pigeon Street, Trapdoor, Stoppit and Tidyup, Mysterious cities of gold - all classics too!

Knightmare was a classic. I think it was the program that started me shouting at the telly (oh hurry up surely you know what to do now or words to that effect)

Anyone remember "The Tick"? (I'm 27, for the purposes of context, and for the purposes of my age ...)
A fantastic spoof superhero cartoon, which someday I'm going to write a guide entry on.
Spoooooon!

I watched a lot of German shows when I was little. So Puhmuckel and the mouse with the click-eyes is what brings back many memories for me. As well as that hungarian mole cartoon.

I thought Calimero was a new invention.
Alf and Cosby Show is what I watched when I was little.
