loup d'argent - for his work in transferring the digibox users over here without disrupting the community. Well. He got me here without the site crashing anyway...

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Apr 8, 2003
And I can't believe we've gotten this far without mentioning the man without whose coding skills this would still all be fields, who gets up in the middle of the night when the database throws a wobbler, who shows immense calm when everyone complains about the servers which are out of his demesne.
Let's have a big round of applause for Jim Lynn U6

Jim Lynn - I would pay serious money to see Ripley's UML
Peta - without whom the community would not exist in the way it does now
Moxie - for having cool Soxies
Mina - for being a poacher and becoming a game-keeper, and *what* a poacher she was
AGB - for having a heart and using it
Subcom Deidzoeb - for having a brain and using it
Blatheskite - for going with dignity and returning with dignity
2Bit - because I disagree with him so much, and respect him so deeply
Blues - ditto with - er - knobs on
Mother of God - for her wisdom and her alter ego
Wandrin' Star - for her wisdom and her son
Asteroid Lil - for the Aetelier
KerrAvon and Bruce - whom I adore for reasons best known to themselves
Hoovooloo - who engages and enrages me in roughly equal amounts
LeKZ - for 20,000 different reasons
Constructively Banned - for loyalty under fire
Mike and Elly - for romance, and for bravery under a different kind of fire
Barton - for sheer bloody volume
~jwf~ - for anarchy and peace and intelligence and wondrous puns
cl zoomer - for thinking me perfect
Rainbow - for *being* perfect
Shazz - for sheer bloody hard work
Saturnine - for being herself and for learning
Lucinda - for being hirself and for leaving such a legacy
Spiff - who is just AWW inspiring
Hell, this is getting invidious...
Lets just say that this community has kept me sane through various trials and tribulations and leave it at that for the time being.

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Apr 9, 2003
Let's not forget the Edited Guide. I think the two people who wrote the most entries deserve a mention: Jimi X, for all his entries on Pennsylvania, and Demon Drawer, for covering the rest of the world.

And there is someone I remembered when posting, but forgot I had not included:
Lilithcookie - for shaking the complacencies of the people posting in every thread she joined, and for doing it with wit, style, grace and humour

Paul Prefect (It's been 2 years now... wow... 8-)) Posted Apr 9, 2003
Perhaps unbeknownst to most here, but we *are* talking about legends, aren't we...
- Demon Drawer - H2G2's Very Own James Bond 007 (yes, I have been around for that long... ). A257294 for a proof.
- J'au-æmne - who was the first to have a regular "5 busiest conversations" - topping thread with the legendary Doughnut Stall at Mt. Sandcastle...
I also remember things like a virtual mayor of London... but... well, let's not go back too far. Now if these aren't legends - I don't know what is.
