Now are people happy that I went through all the recently created articles on the dev server to find this new tag?

I`m confused?! Is the viewer tag supposed to let you know who last visited your homepage, for example? Because as soon as you log into h2g2 you go staight to your own homepage and thus wipe-out the last visiter! Yes/No?

No, it is the one looking at that moment.
I just checked my page U178834 after logging out. It then says "unknown Visitor" so you can stay hidden.

One word: webbugs. The only way currently for non-italics to track who sees their page (the actual methods of doing such a thing are, of course, unknown ). The point of the tag is to spook people it seems.

I'll say one thing for the VIEWER tag, it certainly is an incentive to take all the advertising out of my nickname.

Since I have little confidence in using Guideml, I have used the tag. Will anyone check mine please.
If I can make it work and I am really not very when comes to Guideml then when anyone can do it.
Is there a cure for addiction?

Hey, there's a great use of the viewer tag at A993422, the "self denial" page.

I like that use of it on the 'self denial' page. Thanks also to those who praised mine. It's not true, of course...
(At least, that's what we want you to think...)
