'Death Wish'. Brainless macho garbage that started a whole genre of idiotic revenge fantasy 'action' films, glorified vigilantism and - perhaps worst of all - launched the career of Michael Winner. .

The Tom Green film - Freddy Got Fingered. It's the only film that I have ever turned off. It wasn't that it made me feel ill - though it should have I'm sure, it was pure pap.

Moulin Rouge. I was talked into seeing it by a friend, and I actually paid money to see it at the cinema. How awful? Particularly the terrible soundtrack.

Anything with Adam Sandler in.
In fact, could I just burn Adam Sandler?

No, American Psycho is going in, based on the obvious fact that anyone who thinks it is a good film, obviously hasn't read the book. It just didn't transfer into visuals well. It made me cringe. And I had the stupidity to purchase it on video too

I agree with Meet the Parents - truly awful. Stars Wars - THe Phantom Menace (or whatever it was called) - I switched that off about quarter of a way through.
Titanic - bleugh!
Any film with Steven Seagal in it.
The whole Disney output. (I have an irrational hatred for all things Disney - can't imagine why)
Those old 70s films based on TV series like "On the Buses" - they should definitely be burnt.

I'm definitely with you on the 70's tv series spin off films, most spin off films are poo.
I watched a film called "Drop Squad" not so long ago, thinking it would be good because Spike Lee was involved, but it was absolutely pony poo.
BURN IT.

Most, but not all, 'jump on the bandwagon of a successful first film' sequels. I say 'not all' because I enjoyed all the 'Back to the Future' films, but most sequels are pants. 'Mummy Returns' didn't have a single original idea in the whole film. Did we really need umpteen 'Death Wish' sequels.

Cheerful Dragon Posted Jan 13, 2003
Didn't mean to hit post - just getting into my stride.
Never mind the Death Wish sequels - did we need the original? I'd also get rid of most (if not all) 'teen-flicks', but then I'm not a teenager. Even when I was, I think I was too intelligent to enjoy those films. Do the film-makers really think teenagers are that stupid?
One category of films I'd like to trash is films that rely too heavily on CGI special effects to the detriment of the storyline, acting, directing... Titanic and Gladiator were both heavy on CGI effects but, in both cases, the effects were generally part of the background. Films like the two latest 'Star Wars' are heavy on CGI special effects, but the storyline and dialogue are crap.
I may come back later with some more.

I put it to Blues Shark that Driller Killer is a worse film than Henry: Portrait...
Film to burn? Mulholland Drive

I put it to you that Driller Killer never pretended to be anything other than exploitative cr*p.
Hentry comes with a lot of sociological b*****s that render it infinitely more pretencious than anything produced by Lynch...
