Getting text messages from the woman I most want to be with who I'm currently on the other side of the Atlantic to (which I wont say how that makes me feel but the text messages were really, really sweet)

Going to the pub at six and escape the heat (32 degrees celcius) of the lab to the nice cool clear London air (we have no form of ventilation...London air GREAT in comparison)

Getting locked out of my flat!
This is an odd one, but it means I now know that my spare keys don't work and need to be recut, I got to sit in the sun for an hour, and when my friend who *does* have the keys came over, we did some oddjobs in the flat which have been hanging around waiting to be done for months.
So an odd but oddly productive day.

Hmm best thing that happened to me? Well I bought a really nice pair of jeans. I had been looking for a nice pair for a while now, but couldn't find any which I really liked. I also came across a clothes shop that I hadn't noticed before and has great clothes!
