And no, I doubt very much that Bryan Adams was too innocent for that. Think about the situation in which a girl 'looks good on me'. Actually I really like that idea, crude and a little corny though it is.

Well my two relate to the Neds I think,

Both a mate who sang the common 'Thighs of a cow' to my own slightly odd "Give me big, black, bicycle: give me big black, give me bicycle!" instead of the more usual lyrics about being given 'Big, Mac, fries to go,..."

Ho hum.

Well, after all that time I thought I was mishearing Radioheads' "Nice Dream", I don't know if I was relieved or disappointed over that I was right after all
"The sea would electrocute us all..."

And I actually thought the song "Never Gonna Fight the Ducks" was "Never gonna find the tux'..." And I who always thought it was about waking up from some party with a hangover...

And Elton John I still sing "Cocoa heart is done by you..."

A friend told me the story of a woman in labour who heard a song on the radio on the way to hospital - she named her baby BARNABAS as it was BARNABAS IS CRYING by ABBA ....

For years I thought that Queen's "Beelzebub" line in Bohemian Rhapsody was "The algae boot would it ever push a slag for me"

For years my mother believed that "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" was advertising a certain brand of , until it was pointed out to her that the lyric was "His welfare is my concern," not "His welfare is a Mackeson."

On a recent radio interview Bryan Adams was asked what the significance of '69 was as he was slightly too young to have such memories of the actual year. The answer was that it was based on what you filthy-minded lot were all thinking. So there's a blow for innocence for you.

But I would still take that with a pinch of salt, as he's probably been asked the question so many times, he thought up the provocative answer out of exasperation.

And take a look at A435025 - this subject is a recurrent one with threads on the subject everywhere. And they all guarantee a laugh.

My little brother used to think Jimi Hendrix was gay, when I asked him why he thought that, he said that one of the lines was "Excuse me while I kiss this guy" (the actual line is "Excuse me while I kiss the sky").

Cheers GWL, I was never *really* into them, but one of my mates had a band that supported the stuffies at Notts Uni one year and he then started getting all the indie stuff played down the pub!

I used to love all that stuff. Even though I was only a real nipper at the time. My older brother and the 'in crowd' was into it, so me and all my mates jumped on board.

There were some great bands around at the time though. Possibly the strongest the British music scene has been for a while now?
