The best sit-coms of all time

As a point of interest, Red Dwarf only needs 4 more points scored to push Fawlty Towers out of second place (and prove that we really are a bunch of sci-fi s)

I was just wondering which actor does best out of it. Cleese and Atkinson may have the two highest scoring shows, but don't appear in any of the others on the chart. On the other hand David Jason starred as Del Boy and G-G-Granville, and appeared in a few episodes of Porridge as Old Whitey (who didn't kill his wife), add those three scores together and you get 128.
What does this prove? Not a lot.

I'm surprised there is no more Rowan Atkinson, though - I quite enjoyed the Thin Blue Line.

Very odd, The Thin Blue Line... I wasn't particularly impressed at the time, but I saw some repeats on UK Gold recently and laughed myself silly.
Still doesn't make my top ten though...

*already seeing problems*
Now then: Do we include Ric Mayall and Adrian Edmondson's brief cameos in Blackadder, which in addition to The Young Ones and Bottom would put them top?
D'you know what, I think I'll leave it.

You could split the points pro-rata, depending on how many episodes each actor appeared in.............
Or you could just forget it.

I know about Rik Mayall of course, but who were Barrie and Edmondson in Blackadder?

Chris Barrie played a French Revolutionary (and ambassador) in Blackadder the Third.
Ade Edmundson played the Red Baron in Blackadder goes Forth.

Celeb isn't my cup of ... but I like My Family... although I somehow think that some of the characters have dropped out completely out of some of the episodes...

Same with Andromeda, they can afford the special affects but cannot afford to pay some characters, once in a while!!!

"How on Earth can people watch Malcolm in the Middle, its rubbish!!!"
I agree, I've watched a couple of episodes and discovered that they are only mildly amusing. But newspaper regularly inform me it's "hilarious" (Mind you, this same newspaper was similarly enthusiastic about the godawful student w**k-fest "Noble and Silver" so their reviewers are obviously stupid or determined to appear "hip" in some tragic, Nathany, London way). I can see that it's clever and well-thought-out but, sadly, not very funny.
Key: Complain about this post
