The Childcatcher in the stage show of CCBB is played by Richard O'Brien - superb casting!
Best Baddies on screen - the dark riders in LotR always scare the sh*t out of me.
The Dr Who maggots (memories of the back of my sofa)

maggots? - are you referring to those things called Fendahleens from Dr WHo and the Fendahl? If so, I too hid from that particular story.

Oh, I don't remember what they were called (at 7 yeas old that would have been a bit y)
but I remember my sister chasing me round the house by wriggling on the floor in imitation, and me being reduced to tears

Err! I rather hated the spiders that sat on people's backs and stung them and then took over their minds.Can't really remember much beyond that it was Doctor Who.Oh and the giant ant things in the original black and white Dr Who with William Hartnell.
Oh God I 'm feeling old again.
Incog.

Voldemort (though he's more menacing in the book, where he doesn't callapse into dust at the slightest touch).
The Martians in Mars Attacks! are a nasty bunch.

No the Alien isn't bad, he's just misunderstood. He had a tough childhood no doubt.

I don't think there is such a thing as a "he" Alien in the movies; aren't they all female?

The facehuggers aren't are they? I mean they shove big long things down people's throats against their will so they can bear their children. Doesn't sound very lady-like if you ask me.

It's a good point, but I think their lifestyle is asexual - they don't seem to breed with their own kind. It sort of goes:
Egg -> Facehugger -> Host -> Alien -> Egg
