Cambridge, UK, by about 8 AM, everywhere looked clear of snow..... Then it started snowing again, heavy, and we're currently back to about five inchs or so of snow; AGain causing major disruptions due to council and their inability to grit anywere despite having huge supplys of salt. The aged mother of a good friend is now in hospital with a broken leg due to lack of gritting of streets/roads. Must be pretty bad all over town as I just got a call from teh supermarket saying my grocerys will be arriving at least two hours late.... and in the meantime ther eis too much snow for me to be able to walk out up to the shop that has actual food, as I'll not be able to 'feel' where the pavements end and the roads start due to the laying snow so I'll have to stay hungry a while longer.... not that I'll exactly starve to death, I knew I'd been building up these fat reserves for a reason

In the early hours of the morning, the temperature was -8° but now it is 1°C but feels more like -2°C. It was cloudy but not dull to start off with but the sun came out around 12 noon. It is bit breezy with winds of 7 mph NW.

Nr Emneth, Norfolk.

No snow for the last 2 days, but the snow that is here, is melting very slowly, and freezing back at night. Right now a very few flakes are falling from the sky. No wind at ground level. Cold weather is forecast to carry on for a few more days yet.

In the early hours of the morning, the temperature was -5° but now it is 5°C but feels more like 3°C. It was cloudy but with bright spells but by 12:15 the sun came out and the clouds have been dissipating and it is partly cloudy. It is bit breezy with winds of 6 mph SW.

The rain only stopped for at most 15 minutes and it is still raining now. I think I am starting to rust.

South Glos 08.02.09 22.00...it's snowing again...

London, 10/02/09 at 08.50. The rain has eased off after pouring down over a month's worth in one night apparently. There is a fair amount of flooding to be seen. Right now it's still very grey and overcast with big gloomy clouds completely obscuring the sky. It's sort of drizzling a bit on and off. There's a light breeze from the northwest. The current temperature is around 2c.

Cloudy with a short shower at 10:15 and a few very glimpses of the sun, if you blinked you would have missed it. The temperature now is 4°C but feels like -1°C. The wind speeds are 17 mph WNW.

The sun came out at 15:00 and it is showing itself now and again as the clouds drift by.

In London, the breeze is still blowing and it's quite chilly but it's cleared up into a very bight sunny cloudless afternoon. I really wish it would stay like this for a while and give us a break from rain and snow!

its not snowed for about three days. so could be the thaw on the way, there is still plenty snow in the gardens, but the roads are more or less clear, its very cold out.

Good morning from London. It's a lovely winter's morning this morning. The sun is out, the sky is blue and there's not a cloud to be seen. There's still that light north westerly breeze that gives a bit of a bite to the air so it's quite chilly. Current temp is about 3c but it feels more like zero. Still, after all the snow and rain of the past week, it's very pleasant really.

It started out partly cloudy with plenty of sunshine, but clouds have been building through the morning and sunny spells have been gradually dimmenshing and now the sky is completely clouded over with no sign of the sun. The temperature now is 6°C but feels like 4°C. The wind speeds are 7 mph W.

Partly cloudy skies with sunny spells, it the sunniest earlier on in the morning. There was a light frost on the grass as it was yesterday. There are puddles with small pieces of ice. The temperature started as -1°C in the morning but now is 4°C but feels like 0°C. Hopefully the forecasted on msn uk weather will come in the early evening. The wind speeds are 9 mph NNW.
